The Issue with God’s future…
Umm..I don't know what to say, well to say the truth, I had completely forgotten about this blog. With all the pressure of ninth grade board exams and other activities (which include writing my second book), it took a month of sitting at home due to COVID-19 to find this. Anyway, I have come up with an essay on an interesting and quite controversial topic, god.
DISCLAIMER: The following are simply my thoughts on this topic and I simply share it with you all. However, everybody is free to have their own views.
The Issue with God’s future…
“Is man merely a mistake of God? Or God
merely a mistake of man?”
-Friedrich Nietzsche
Countless
books have been written on this subject and thousands have sacrificed
themselves in the war for religion. But is this right? Can you force a religion
on someone? I don’t think so.
So,
what is the future of religion? Looking ahead in time, how will people regard
God? Or rather, will people regard God? Questions are many, and answers have to
be found. For this, let’s look at mankind’s history. Whenever science was
unable to explain something, religion told it to be a work of God. Even then,
people place their faith in a community which till a few centuries ago told
them that the Earth was flat!
There
are still a few unsolved mysteries which are said to be God’s work. But at the
rate science is evolving it won’t be long before they are cleared. And then
where will God be? Especially if nobody will believe in his controlling their
lives. Now, let’s look at another angle. Maybe God exists, maybe he doesn’t.
But if believing in him gives people the hope of happiness, courage to live and
strength to strive; nobody has the right to deprive them of their faith.
However,
there are some people who kill others and start wars in the name of religion.
That, I believe, is something which won’t happen a 100 years from now. For
that, ladies and gentlemen, is how I
predict God’s future. Improved education and moral teachings would put an
end to such barbarian acts of our time. Most of today’s fundamental questions
will be answered which will lead to a lot more people becoming atheists and
denouncing God.
There
is another point which, I regrettably have to mention. It is painful when I
remember that humans, fully matured humans perform some horrifying, irrational
and inhuman ‘rituals’. A few examples are ‘Grishneshwar Temple Drop’ or
‘Self-flagellation during Muharram’. I certainly pray that the chains of time
will bound these acts securely and that they won’t take place in the future.
At
the end of it all, Jon Stewart perfectly concludes my article when he says…
“God gives us hope in a world torn apart
by religion”
I hope that you find my views logical and practical. To frankly speak, whatever the truth may be, I feel that it is not an issue to fight about. As I said, even if god does exist, I am sure he does not like the actions terrorists do under his name. With this I bid adieu to you all.
P.S.- As I mentioned above the Corona Virus is a serious problem and not to be taken lightly, I request everybody to please follow the Government guidelines and maintain social distancing
Thank you..
