The Need For A World Government - Part A

Image
“World government, global government or cosmocracy is the concept of a common political authority for all of humanity, giving way to a global government and a single state or polity with jurisdiction over the entire world.” - Wikipedia definition of world government. I often look at the various leaders of countries across the world - Narendra Modi, Vladmir Putin, Xi Jinping etc. and the sense of deep patriotism and loyalty they have for their respective ‘countries’. They will do anything to improve the lives of the citizens of their country even if it means sacrificing their own life. Now imagine how much progress humans as a species will make if this loyalty to their ‘country’ changes into loyalty to their ‘planet’. That is the idea and purpose behind the formation of a World Government. The concept is not new or modern in any way; the idea has been prevalent since the Mesopotamian Civilization 6000 years ago. Since then, every civilization has dreamt of ruling o...

The Issue with God’s future…

Umm..I don't know what to say, well to say the truth, I had completely forgotten about this blog. With all the pressure of ninth grade board exams and other activities (which include writing my second book), it took a month of sitting at home due to COVID-19 to find this. Anyway,  I have come up with an essay on an interesting and quite controversial topic, god.  DISCLAIMER: The following are simply my thoughts on this topic and I simply share it with you all. However, everybody is free to have their own views. The Issue with God ’s future… “Is man merely a mistake of God? Or God merely a mistake of man?” -Friedrich Nietzsche Countless books have been written on this subject and thousands have sacrificed themselves in the war for religion. But is this right? Can you force a religion on someone? I don’t think so. So, what is the future of religion? Looking ahead in time, how will people regard God? Or rather, will people regard God? Questions are many,...

My Own Short Story - I

I WISH ALL MY VIEWERS A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!                  Topic- A story ending with 'I wish I had told the truth' 'Beep!', went the computer as I switched it on. I was checking the result's of the final level of the SOF Olympiad. Last year, that is in the 6th grade, my rank had been 51, just one away from getting a huge prize. Thus, this year I was hoping to enter the merit list and imagined myself smiling for the newspapers on topping.                                 The sound removed me from my 'dream world' and I, with a cross on my fingers entered the roll no. Never could I have imagined my shock on seeing the rank stated as '1257'. My shoulders drooped and the next minute my sister entered the room asking about (it's obvious) my rank. I, already disappointed got irritated and said, "First!". My siste...

What did I learn from "The Portrait of A Super Student" ?

Image
Well as you people know, I am an avid reader and a 13 year old student so this book which tells us how best to perform in studies, sports and co-curricular activities turned out to be good for me. So I decided to note down what I found worth noting down and also to share that valuable knowledge with you all in one go (I even modified some lines to suit me, so if you feel the same, be sure that you and I have a very similar mindset). So to all the parents and students out there, please comment if you find these tips helpful. I] Why to Study ? :-                            If you have a why, the how will come by.                                                       One dangerous idea is to study for marks. This will put you in  a purely competitive l...

An Essay on "The Achievement I'm Proud of" in 300 words for Std. 8

Achievements! Oh, everybody has achievements. If you call medals or certificates as achievements then I have about 50-60 of them. But the one that I am proud of, it's certainly not a piece of metal. Put in one line, my true success is that I have written a book. Is it that simple ? No, of course not,  I can still find about a hundred mistakes in it.                   The thing I all as an achievement is the look on the faces of my friends, family and all those who mocked at me when I told them my decision to write a book. I have always kept surprising them with innovative ( and sometimes weird ) ideas but this was my ace move. My family had earlier thought that writing a book was yet another of his never-ending silly ideas and he'll forget it in a few hours. But no, hours turned into days into weeks and eventually into months when I finally completed the manuscript. To yo...

An Essay on "My Most Disastrous Day Ever" in 250 words.

Who would want to have a disastrous day? I don't think anybody would. But whether you like it or not, everybody has one, even if not serious but a mild one. My most disastrous day was when I was taken to our principal's office.                                                  Now you'll say, 'not a big deal' but I had maintained a clean slate up till then. I was then in my fifth grade. Our yearly exams were going on and 'April Fools Day' was coming up. So I had a few tricks up my sleeve. I was going to put sand in my friend's bag as a prank. Back then, I didn't understand that this deed would bring nothing but trouble to him. As you might have guessed, I was caught and upto 3 different teacher's severely scolded me and as a bonus also told me in advance that I would by taken to the principal aft...
